Reflection of headlights on nudgebar

The headlights give a terrible back reflection when night driving so how do I stop it (apart from taking the nudgebar off)?

My temporary cure is to put that strange hot water pipe heat lagging stuff on it
But can you buy a wraparound cover or do you paint them black or install bonnet defectors or.....

mine where both black, never gave a problem.

wait till you have rooflights on a white truck & then worry about glare

Trouble is mine are chrome I have seen a couple of with what looks like green anorak material.

Roof lights . Here lies my next major task. The previous owner has put them on there put not connected them up Now I could drill a hole in the roof (not really an option) or run it down the front pillar as most people do on TD5's but it has not got a plastic cover to hide them or buy a snorkel and hide them down the back but at over £250 it seems a bit steep.
Some times they run them down the door pillar but I think that looks unsightly - and the worry of shorting.
Still thats a job for the summer. !!!!AGGGHHHH!!!!!

just checked your profile to see you've got a shotgun, that explains the chrome - they all seem to be dont they? bit of black tape on the back of the bars? wont look great though i suspect.
ive not had a look closely at a shotgun, so this might be no use at all. on the earlier discos (i had a 200) you could lift the edge of the windscreen seal & run a couple of wires under there.

Black tape is still quite shiney esp when wet. I had heard of people puting a strip of the fluffy part of black, self adhesive velcro. You don't need much- a 2" strip in the exact focus spot will do. You need to do the job a night with an assistant though.

I thought about painting it, but ... Fluffy velcro? Ohh, Never thought of that. Might give it a go Thanks.
