Hi, I'm a long time reader, first post.
Back into offroading after 15 year, and looking to meet up and get offroad.
So anyone planning a trip near Swindon or Salisbury plain, please give me a PM.
Thanks

I'd be up for a Salisbury plain trip, usually do Elan Valley.

Hi SB,

Thanks for the reply, Elan Valley looks amazing, I really fancy that so let me know when you next plan it.
Salisbury Plain would be a dust bowl with concrete ruts at the moment, needs a drop of rain to soften it out.
How about Combe Gibbet and Botley Down across to Easton Royal, or Brinkworth, Crudwell and the Foss Way down to Castle Combe?
I will PM my number and we can discuss where and when.
Anyone else in the area fancy a trip out?

I never knew one could drive off road from Combe Gibbet which is not far from me.

Did you meet up in the end?

I am mulling over a Thames Valley 4x4 pay-and-play on the last Sunday somewhere in Hampshire

Hi
I am Worcestershire and also am curious on green laning (defender 110 2024) - I see you can go via 4x4 groups who do guided tours or the TW2 app via Green Lane Association that allows you to find your own lanes and go off on your own ( if you are prepared to dig yourself out etc smile )

Has anyone else joined a group yet?>

The green lane association were pretty active there a few years ago, also try the MROC.

Hi, Happy New Year.

Anyone up for a trip out?

How about Combe Gibbet and Botley Down across to Easton Royal, or Brinkworth, Crudwell and the Foss Way down to Castle Combe?
Not done the Foss way for 15 years so bit out of date as to what it's current state is, anyone with local knowledge?

PM me.

A section of the Fosse way by Easton Grey has a permanent traffic regulation order on it, so you'll have to detour around that stretch.

I am interested but I am out of action for a few weeks due to an injury. I think when I am back in a car, I will go to a pay 'n' drive thing with Thames Valley 4x4 just to familiarise myself with the car and with assistance/guidance on hand if needed.
