Rage Buggies. Still a thing? To own… not an ‘experience’ day
Discussion
My brothers Father in Law came to a track day with us recently where there were a couple of rage buggies on.
He’s been obsessed with the idea ever since. So he’s going to look at one tomorrow, and I’m dubious.
The official rage motorsport website is no longer online, and the only things I can find online are ‘experience’ days. I’ve no idea what spares support there is these days, and what the likelihood of getting any upgrade parts are, for example if he goes for it and eventually decides he wants a set of short travel suspension.
It claims to be the following:
2008 RAGE RT140 - OFF ROAD
1000CC SEQUENTIAL GEARBOX
TWIN SEATER NOT ROAD LEGAL
NOT YOUR AVERAGE BUGGY
Gear cables need adjusting or replaced
Running bit rough cutting out sometimes needs messed about with owes me over.
So I can’t find anything about the spec online, and wondered if there were any experts on here who could give me some info on spec, and let me know anything to look out for, or potential pitfalls.

can't help you with a rage buggy, but... no idea how or why you'd have one of them on a trackday, they're really for offroad applications, not circuits.
why not instead one of the myriad of lotus 7 styled kit cars? MK Indy springs to mind, quite easy to get one of them with a bike engine and a sequential gearbox, and would be way more suitable for a trackday...?
