Off road, but not 4x4 - just wondering if anyone knows safe places to leave a Van while biking on the byways - had a (empty) Van busted into a couple of years ago at the top end of the Old Marlboro road, and just looking for somewhere to leave it thats not isolated but doesn't involve a long trek on tarmac to get to the byways. Thanks

Depending on where you want to get onto the plain, Durrington, Amesbury (I had a unit on Solstice Park that didn’t have any parking restrictions), Larkhill, most people seem to park up at the tank crossings between Durrington and Upavon on the A345, you’d be pretty unlucky to have the van broken into so close to the main road.

Larkhill is my go to spot. But have left a van at the tank crossings before. I prefer larkhill though as I can get food and snacks at the shops if needs be

The wardens have started to get more upset at people leaving vehicles on the tank crossings, as they are there for the crossing marshals space to dismount and remount when they are transiting on the plain
