Bolt head protectors - for 'skid plates'

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post - but the Land Rover forum looked to be the best place on PH to seek advice on this.

I am looking to buy a handful of 'bolt head protectors' (other names are i'm sure available) - along the lines of these things:

For my application it's to protect some exposed bolt heads under a Caterham-type car I am building. It has a flat floor, but unavoidably some bolt heads will protrude and these protectors seem a great way to reduce risk of damage from any road debris, speed bumps, etc.

These bolt head protectors seem to be used elsewhere in the world where 4x4 drivers fit skid plates/underbody protection/etc - but I can't turnup any UK suppliers, are there any?...

Do you have enough material to countersink instead?

All of the underbody armour plates I've used, have been fixed to a frame using countersunk hex bolts. However, as the plate is circa 8-10mm thick, there's plenty of material for the countersunk hole.

Thanks both - apols Scrump, didn't spot the Off-Road section, would have aimed for that first.

Countersinking not an option unfortunately, floor panel is only 3mm.

In that case, another option to consider are 'Socket head button screws':

Agreed. I don’t see the need for anything more than a pan-head internal torx drive bolt, as suggested. Or if grime inside the torx head will be an issue, then a flange-head external hexagon drive, these are commonplace on under shields.

Used those on the bash plates under my Landcruiser, cheap as chips don't rust and do the job well.
