When driving the jimny as soon as I get to 40mph the steering shakes like crazy just wondering if anyone has had the same.problem or any idea what it could be. I got the wheel alignment done but didn't change anything

Sounds like wheel balance.

But could be lower arm.
Ball joints.
Track rod ends.
Shock absorber.
Buckled wheel.
Wheel bearing.

Maybe other things I can't think of.

Sure there isnt a big clump of mud stuck inside a wheel rim or similar ?

Could also be loose wheel nuts? 40mph is a bit low for balance unless it is a big lump of mud or similar or perhaps loss of all the wheel weights from one wheel?

Kingpin bearings? Google Suzuki jimny death wobble or jimny kingpin bearings, common issue with them.
