Navara D22 Hardbody 3.0
Discussion
Been looking at pickups and found a D22 navara Hardbody with relatively low miles and decent history within budget. I believe it's a south Africa import.
Does anyone own or have any advise on what the key differences are between this and the UK spec D22?
Idea is to turn it into an off road / day camper and will be my only car, don't strictly need it to commute so fuel is not an issue.

i have a 3.0 D22 on Tobago.
from what i've learned so far it's the engines that differ by region. I believe, but may have under-researched, that the ZD30 was not sold in Europe but pretty much everywhere else. Received wisdom is that it's much more reliable then the YD25 used in the UK. Mine's in dreadful shape but keeps going
I buy my spares from Australian specialists nowadays - even with shipping and duty it's way cheaper for me to do it that way.

just remembered - i've found some minor electrical differences when fitting parts i've sourced from UK vehicles but i think this must be model year differences as opposed to build differences (i have no idea what year mine is - we "age" our vehicles by date of registration rather than build)
things like window motors, light units etc. all were easily adapted though
