please forgive me as i know this kind of thing has been coverd before, but has not 100% pointed me in one direction or another!

so I've just picked up my first hilux, and i would love to keep her in as good condition as i can manage. The chassis appears to never have been welded, nor painted or wax oiled. its a 98' mk4 so its 22 years old and does have a lot of surface rust underneath and on all the suspension, steering and brake components but i don't think its much more than a few mm deep. i would like to halt the rusting process before it gets bad, and i've been recommended this -https://aquasteel.co.uk/ , it looks promising but i cant seem to find independent reviews of people using it all over a cars chassis, along with all the other gubbins under the truck. any advice or opinion welcome. thanks.

I've just spent the last few hours coating the underside of my jeep in this stuff. Seems really good to be fair.

Jetwashed all the crud off and then slapped it on, seems to magically turn all the brown rust black and looks like underseal. I'm letting it dry and will cover in underseal.

Seems good value compared with other stuff too.

Thanks for the feedback 👍 it seems to be bit of a mine filed as to what’s good or not! If you can pop on in a few days and let me know how it seems to have set. Are you planning on overpainting it or leaving it as is?

Thanks
