Looking to change the oil and filter on a Honda 420 quad for a pal. When I’ve checked online I see Honda’s GN4 oil recommended, but can’t seem to find any for sale unless I buy from abroad. Leads me to think this is probably American branding. What oil would I be best to use instead? It’s 10w-30 motor oil. So is this the same as oil you put in a car?? Or for a motorbike? So sorry for complete newbie question...

You can buy GN4 from Amazon UK

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Honda-GN4-10W-30-Motorcyc...

You can also use any decent MA rated semi synthetic motorcycle oil of the correct grade but don't use normal car engine oil its not the same spec. Your quad uses the oil for the wet clutch and gearbox as well as the engine so it has a different formulation from standard engine oil. The MB rated fully synthetic oils have advanced friction reduction additives which will cause issues with the wet clutch on your quad.
