I might be the only Yeti with ATs in the County :-)
Discussion
I spend a fair bit of time in muddy fields, plus, any snow and we are isolated, so rather than winter wheels and tyres, I went for AT "winter" wheels and rims :-) (same as I did on my D3) . Get's all the blue-rinse brigade in their Yetis looking bewildered.
16" alloys £300, Insa Turbo ATs £240.
Before
Height change after (left side only)
Done:
Get a very small amount of contact on one side only - front, inner plastic arch liner on full lock. Shouldn't touch after a few 1000 miles.
As a bonus, the speedo is now bang on :-)

BG Goodrich are worth a look for all terrains. I have a golf equipped with haldex and also a Jeep. Have you considered some green laning?
I had a set of BFG AT's and I was very pleased with their grip and noise level although they wore a bit quickly. Right now I'm running Cooper AT3's. Handling and ride are fine for an aggressive all-terrain tire. Mud traction is good though I haven't tried these cooper tires in the snow.cdrick4 said:

That's surprising - the BFG AT's on my old Land Cruiser amazingly have over 100k miles on them and have still got a reasonable amount of tread left. Gassing Station | Off Road | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
