Hi everyone. Well, every so often we get a win in life. My recent win was this big old AT35. She's a 2017 with circa. 50k. Not the best example paintwork wise etc, but due to my company ties it's no issue to sort. It has full leather, the nice wee screen c/w reverse cam. and a manual box.

We have a few winter adventures planned up in Scotland (home) and a post Brexit trip next year if they don't loosen the moorings and push us away!! We will be headed down to Switzerland for a wee Euro tour.

So, onto the good stuff. The poor old thing will be use to about 10% of it's capabilities no doubt,,, but, I do like the look of the M/T Kumho's on the rear. These were dealer fitted before I picked it up as there was no availability (I confirmed this) of 4 at the time.

So,

Do I replace all 4 with the more standard fit tyres (as I have on the front)??

Do I fit a set of Kumho M/T's to the front (bit noisy from the rear)??

Or do I listen to advice from you guys if you have experience which is different again??

I'll happily spend the money on 'her' as i'm absolutely smitten with it so far. Cheers

Personally I would always go for the same tyre at all 4 corners.

If your doing more road mileage than track & trail I would go for an all terrain tyre.

Problem is finding the buggers. Only mud terrains available - as far as I can see!! Cheers

Midrange Mts aren't very good in the wet and ATs will be better for almost everything in the UK.

I'd be very surprised if BF Goodrich didn't have your size, or at least something close enough to be OK.

Oh, nice truck.

315/70R17 according to the Isuzu website (35" hence the name...)

http://www.mytyres.co.uk claim to have plenty of choice in that size, I believe they are based on the continent so it makes sense they have a wider range of sizes than a more UK focused tyre shop.

For your tyres and usage I would recommend the BFG K02s as a good all terrain tyre, they’ll give you long life too.

Avoid mytyres or any other Delti.com business they’re a complete nightmare to deal with. They have lots of similar looking sites, just scroll to the bottom of the pages to see if their name is there.

The poor old thing
You must live in a very different world to I if you consider a 2 year old vehicle to be poor and old...

The irony being that size tyre works out at 34.36" biglaugh

And most new tyres come in slightly smaller too. I assume AT34 just didn't have the same ring though hehe

To be fair to the OP the phrase "big old thing" doesn't necessarily imply an aged item.

"Poor old thing" is perhaps harsh (although it does have wildly mismatched tyres which might imply a hard life so far).

It's certainly not old or poor. It's a regional thing!

Yes this was a confusing 'old thing' to me. My previous l200 had genuine 35s. When I went out the front of the house to measure the Arctics I thought I had to add some air lol
