Advice needed re: quad

I’ve recently bought a property with land and am in need of a quad. Is there any way to ascertain an idea of value when looking at ones for sale? I’ve seen them at varying prices but don’t know how to judge what’s good value. I need one around 450/500cc as it has to pull a loaded trailer.

Also looking for advice about insuring. A lot seem to be road-registered now, although I wouldn’t plan to use it on the road, only on the land. Are there any recommended insurers? As it’s not going on the road I would really only need to insure against it being stolen.

Lastly if I’m using it on my land would it be exempt from road tax?

Ones for agricultural use are free road tax.

But if you don't need one road registered, then these are cheaper.

I insured mine with bike sure.
