Was playing in my Shogun today and slowly coming down off a hump at a little over 45°.
I accidentally stalled it and when I tried to restart, the battery was totally dead. Had a look and there was a strong sulphur smell coming from the battery. Seems like maybe the acid all ran to one end and one or more of the cells dried out and fried the battery when I tried to restart? Or maybe it was just a coincidence and the battery had already died ?
Is it a "thing" that using the battery on a steep slope will kill it ? If so, can you get a gel battery or something similar for off road driving?

should be ok , however if its moved and shorted out on something that would do what you describe as could a sudden jolt which causes an internal break in a cell connection ..

Cheers, must be something like that, it won't take a charge now, just stinks of sulphur when I connect it to a charger. New battery called for.
