just got myself a 1979 iltis, 1.7 petrol project, anyone here own/owned one? ill be looking for a few bits n pieces if anyone knows where there might be 1 rotting in the back of a garage/under a cover, or, someone in uk specialising in iltis/munga/kubel/thing parts? gratitude for any help/info offered.... maurice

They're mainly T25/T4 specialists, but Simon has an Iltis himself, so they know all the parts interchange, and stock a lot of stuff.

ok then, time to add to this tread, got it started/running during the week, so that side is ok, only a bit of bodywork, a few bolt on bits n bobs, an interior, a new windscreen to be cut/made and a paint job , tyres , service etc etc

mine lol, but i can point you towards a site with a few more on , but be careful as most have been up for a long time and need a goodly amount of work, cheap they may seem but ive made inquires on a lot of them and if you want a turnkey in good shape you need to be looking at the 8000 to 10000euro n up cars, the site is here... http://www.theparking.eu/used-cars/volkswagen-ilti...

Ok. Thanks for that. Sale of my classic fell thru...so just waiting for a sale. As I said...I owned one about 10 years ago...getting the bug again
