Hi

I'm new to this website and I am sure I am posting this in the wrong place but I have a 2007 4.2 Toyota land cruiser Amazon I do a lot of heavy towering and I believe from others that you can boost the power by 40 hp I have taken it to reputable tuning companies and that they cannot do much to help cannot get into the ECU easily to rectify or improve its performance I have read on this forum some time ago that you can just tweak the pump I would be very interested if somebody can help with this thanks

I await in anticipation

Terry

Just go online and search for diesel tuning, plenty of options out there. Some insurance companies are happy with these types of modifications, others are not.

Just get it serviced and that may improve performance.

No one had cracked the code to remap the Toyotas until fairly recently, just a question of phoning around and seeing who can do it.

There was a thread on here fairly recently with some recommendations on, but kind of depends where you live.

You shouldn't really have any issues towing with a 100 series. A remap will put more mechanical strain on a very reliable car / engine. I considered it for mine but decided against.
