Suzuki V6 Grand Vitara Hydrolocked - Advice
Discussion
Had a great day at Slindon today until the dreaded happened...
My 15yo lad decided on his last run of the day (and knowing he wasn't allowed to....!) to go gung-ho through the really narrow and deep puddle leading to the inevitable water ingress and hydrolocking the engine.
Having pulled the plugs and turned it over there's clearly no compression in the front 2x cylinders but that's as far as we've got tonight. With the plugs out and cranking it over there's no untoward noises.... so is it too much to hope that the crank & rods are all fine and its only top-end damage?
Tomorrow evening we'll put the plugs back in and 'fire' her up, but in the meantime any advice from anyone who knows these engines as to what we should expect would be appreciated.
Some picy's of the good & bad parts of the day...
