Hi. Not sure this is the right forum, but I have a boring rav4 AWD in Caribbean currently on standard UK 225/65 R17s.

Nearly all driving there is less than 40 mph, never over 50, temp always over 22 deg c. Roads are poor with potholes. Some off road driving on dirt tracks.

Any recommendations? Free holiday for best answer :-)

Dunlop Grandtrek AT3??

I am concerned that at least some all terrain tyres are described as winter tyres, which may not be great for constant hot weather. Also most driving is on the road, albeit not great roads.

Thanks for any help

Check out the Michelin Latitude Cross - they've been great on a very "non-Caribbean" residing RAV4! After almost 2yrs and around 10k miles there's still 7mm of tread left according to the recent service invoice.

Maybe worth a look if not dealing with any serious off road?

Just go for a set of Mud Terrains if you can get them.

These are good new tyres, and summer rated so should hold up in Caribbean. If available they would be a good choice.

Thank you, I went with the Continental CrossContact ATR though it will take a while till they actually get on the car in Grenada
