Hi All,

Currently researching soem spots and floods to put on the roof of my Jimny. These http://tinyurl.com/hcxna7e seem cheap to try out the theory but I don't understand from the numbers how bright they will be.

Anyone else tried these kinds of lights out?

Not those specifically but I do have a cheap little 18" lightbar that I'm very impressed with and I think those would be fine.

I'd say go for it. They are cheap enough anyway that it's not much loss if they don't measure up to what you need.

Those ones are OK for the price actually. By my calculations on the one I have here, they're actually producing around 1200 lumens. For comparison, a standard halogen car headlight is in the ballpark of 1000 lumens.

It's not an entirely fair comparison, as lumens are a count of the total light coming out, without any regard to where it's going. But it gives an indication.
