do you know if Toyota UK support them with service and parts?
I think they are popular with the aid agencys and toyota seem happy to order parts for oddball stuff do you know if Toyota UK support them with service and parts?
however I would guess some parts would be common to other models, filters brake parts etc you might have to wait for body panels .... highly unlikley you would need much unless you crashed it remember they are used in parts of the world where it might be possible to break a hilux or a bulldozer!!! they are built like a train underneath!!

you can order the parts through Toyota most parts are shared with other vehicles anyway, However I order my parts from Japan or the UAE as its still way cheaper than Toyota UK, even when paying import taxes and shipping.do you know if Toyota UK support them with service and parts?

Can anyone shed any light on this what appears to be brand new J60? I cant find any info?
how much are they? What are they?
thanks in anticipation
As above, you can still order these new in the Middle East where they're pretty cheap. The locals treat them like disposable crockery: have your cake (in this instance thrash the st out of them) and then throw away (or just leave by the roadside).how much are they? What are they?
thanks in anticipation
They are somewhat basic inside and predictably agricultural to drive, however.

Think of them as a Land Rover Defender but more reliable. For proper desert work, you either have a:
1. Landcruiser
2. Patrol (Safari)
3. Wrangler
Even the Pajeros seem not quite up to the job in this part of the world. Heck - my Raptor, for all its aggression and off road credentials, doesn't make the grade without modifications to the cooling system (I'm somewhat embarrassed to say), and even then, it's just too damn big and heavy.
It's a shame that Landrover has become nothing more than an aspirational brand. No doubting their off road capabilities, but reliability is a joke. I work in an industrial area which is home to thousands of independent back-street specialists - the notable exception being Toyota. Everywhere else, there are Land Rover, BMW and Mercedes graveyards where owners have simply dumped their cars.
Conversely, the roads are still awash with old Landcruisers and Patrols which simply will not die. My boss, for example, has an old LX470 with over 500k KM on the clock and it's still running sweet as a nut. Only ever had regular maintenance and the odd perishable bit here and there replaced.
