tyre stepping ?

Just been told my general grabber AT tyres are stepping on my jeep WJ. Uneven wear in the height of the tread blocks on the front at least. With my eye I cant really see it, but the tyre guys say its present. They don't know why its happened.
I keep the tyres pressures good, have rotated the tyres back front, and I'm not aware of any suspension issuies, although the shocks are going to be replaced soon.
Maybe its the front diff, needs additive to stop scrubbing, but I cant tell if that happening as I don't feel or hear anything.
Any advice?

Possibly alignment, some vehicles are more prone to it than other and 4 wheel alignment will cure it, but if you can run your hand across the width of the tire I would say its a shock issue. Though I would be checking all the rubber suspensions bits for any excessive movement.
Downside to rotating tires it can sometimes hide issues that are occurring at the rear appear to issues at the front.

I've had the tracking checked/adjusted twice since the tyres were fitted (Last time 12 months/5000 miles ago). That's about the only alignment adjustment on the car I think.Downside to rotating tires it can sometimes hide issues that are occurring at the rear appear to issues at the front.
I'll try and check the front control arms for play, but will defo get the new shocks on asap. Having dropped £550 on these tyres new I want another 10,000 miles at least out of them !!!
Having checked the tyres again at home, it seems its the nsf that has slight stepping. I cant notice anything on the others, but it may be there to the trained eye. I've now swapped the tyres over on each axle and reversed the rotation. No tyre noise on test run.
I've checked the lower control arms and they seem ok. Guess I'll just have to see his it goes after the shocks are renewed.
