Jeep A/C problems
Discussion
My WJ A/C system is struggling to delivery air at 10 oC to the cabin vents. The mobile ac guy has emptied and refilled the system with new gas, says there are no obvious leaks, but he suspects the compressor is a bit "tired" as it took a long time to put the new gas back into the system.
Any of you WJ owners having air con problems yet ?
He also re-gassed my 15 year old Audi cab as that lost al its gas over winter storage, and that is delivering 5 oC !!!
cheers

Is the clutch on the compressor functioning correctly? Think you can lock it so you can see if the system works as it shhould, need to do it on mine
Well it engages to start the AC working, but do you mean they can slip or something ?Is there a procedure to "lock" it in ?
Quick update. Seems I may have issue's with the blend doors not closing fully.
I've got 4.5oC cooling at the vents on start up, but when the engine starts to warm I've only got 11oC at the vents. Guy from the US forums told me to check that out. I put in new doors a couple of years ago so need to open up and check.
