Im looking for a new/2nd hand vehicle with a boot big enough for 1 vizsla, 1 cocker spaniel and 1 lab. Needs to be capable of going down rough farm tracks with deep ruts and crossing wet and muddy fields without getting stuck (i know it depends on tyres aswell). Boot should also be wide enough for a shotgun or space to store one, needs to be able to tow a trailer up to about 1600kgs.

I dont do many miles a year approx 5k so it could be petrol so it has a bit of poke. Price anywhere from 15k to 35k ? Ive looked at volvo XC60, jeep cherokee and discvery sport, so about this size (4600mm).

Cant be too wide as the entrance to the drive is only 2300mm, so thats a problem

Needs to be reliable and have a turn of speed with it.

So any ideas ????

I don't know about the two you have listed but what about a Mercedes ML?
