Landcruiser 79 series ute 4.5 v8 d4d
Discussion
Just wondering how much would (if it would sell) a 2009 landcruiser 79 series 4.5 turbo diesel v8 ute make in uk ? Would there be market,
Bull bar
Steel tray
Lightforce spot lights
Dual battery
Mud tyres
Factory snorkel
Asked similar question before about a patrol but have changed to a landcruiser now considering bringing it back but not going to if I've something that worth $35k here and valueless in uk
Thanks

i think there would be plenty of interest. The combination of a utility vehicle but with a large bullet proof engine is what most people would think of as a perfect defender they never made.
what would it cost to buy and import?
they are quite expensive, being almost $65k brand new for a gxl, a gxl has such luxuries as a centre console and electric windows, so like a defender in that respect. The depreciation on them is very soft, a 09 would be worth $40k still, what would it cost to buy and import?
mine has arb bulbar, lightforce lights, dual battery, mud tyres, winch I’d be happy to get in the region of GBP15k for it.
Would have about 120,000km, on it by time gets back.
As a 4.5 V8 Turbo Diesel Engine, same as the 200 series but single turbo.
Wonder what kind of interest there would be

I can register it in ireland no problem, if it's on irish plates can it be imported to uk easily then? Is the 10yr thing for cars outside the eu
Why would you do that, you have to pay the tax in Ireland (or apply for the VRT exemption, which if your not actually living in Ireland you may not be eligible for) and then have to pay tax when importing it to the UK.As regards your "Ute" the only thing I can really see being of interest is the engine.
It's difficult to put a value on it.... any purchaser will probably have done their research and know what they want.
I would be looking at 10,000 to 15,000
Here are a few similar type car's for sale in the UK if it's any help to you, although yours is newer.

79s are rare, very rare with that brilliant engine in the UK. I can't say whether you would get that money (second hand cars being generally much cheaper here than in Australia) but there would certainly be a market. I spent a week in one whilst hunting outside Darwin last year and have been in them in Africa a lot. They are what the defender should have become (a long time ago).

utes in the UK sell for a fortune as it is
Ask Nene overland- they probably could give you an idea, or might even buy it off you.
http://www.neneoverland.co.uk/4x4-toyota/toyotaAE5... would be an idea of value for a cheaper truck
The UK has different rules for import duty/VAT and the Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) test if the car is a "personal" import. To qualify as a personal import, the car must have been owned for at least 6 months before import, and you must keep it for at least 12 months after it's registered in the UK.

What you think it be worth in uk
2009 say 180,000km
Usual arb stuff on it
Only thing I'm hesitant about is if I bring it back get sick of it , I can't sell it and access the money to use for something else
What you reckon it would be worth there?
