Evening All
thinking about buying a Jimny just as a second car runabout and bit of fun,would like a hardtop but there seems to be a lot more softtops about,i just wondered how secure they are compared to a hardtop?
What are they like to own? Are they reliable, cheap to run insure ect and are they any good in the bad weather? and most of all are they good fun to drive?

Good motors...go for a late one after I think 04 / 05 ..toyota VTT engine...plus other improvements.

I have a hardtop I use for greenlaning

Didn't fancy a soft top in case I rolled it or something

I have a 08 I think it is

If I remember correctly all soft ops are belt driven up to a certain age and made in Spain

Where as some of the hard tops can be either and made in jap
