2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 2.7 CRD

I have my Jeep serviced every year at a local garage, however whilst driving around recently the ' Perform Service' beep & message has come up on the overhead display. Obviously I can press reset to clear it but if I stop the car , turn it off then on again as if I was starting a new journey it comes back on again. I was wondering if anyone new a quick trick to clear it permanently without having to take it to a main dealer? Any help with this matter would be much appreciated.

you reset it from the console, scroll through to the bit were you set the reminder to service miles, scroll it through back round to the miles you want & it resets the reminder
