Buying Land Cruiser Colorado

I am planning on getting a LC Colorado it will be 98-2002 vintage.
Use will be 90% daily drive road use,other 10% will be traversing bomb crater county tracks or winter snow.
Never pay and display or green laning 4x4 activities
Anyone have any experience with the Automatic gearbox on these.
What are thy like, cruising motorway speeds,wafty or revving.
I have no experience with Auto boxes in 4x4s,although I have had a fair few 4x4 Land Rover Discovery 1 & 2 and also 110 Defender.
Any comments on your experience of them would be welcome, thank you

Borrowed one for a couple of months while my Grand Cherokee was away for repairs,
It turned out to be a good all rounder, not the most refined vehicle out there but very good otherwise
