Hopefully someone here can help.

I have a trailer, currently fitted with 13" Renault hubs and ordinary car tyres. I want to take it into fields with my tractor to collect logs and sticks but going into a wet field with skinny tyres is just going to make a mess.

I've noticed some Land Rovers towing trailers with fat wheels and it has put the idea into my head.

Ideally, I'd like to keep the original 4x100 hubs to keep costs down but fit wider wheels. So far, the only idea I have had is go get 2 15" Megane rims banded then fit some second hand off road tyres but again, banding is costly.

So does anyone of anything that was fitted with wide 4x100 rims that I could salvage from a scrappy? Ideally, they would need to be 15" as I haven't come across any 14" off road tyres.

What are you trying to prevent happening? The trailer won't be ripping the ground up because it's not providing any motive force, and as long as you're not traversing slopes the tyres won't slip sideways.
