Evening all.

With the evenings getting darker earlier and thoughts of winter approaching my old Fourtrak Independant is up and running but the tyres are just not going to cut the mustard in the snow that we seem to get more regularly, especially in the South Wales vallies!

I've bought myself a set of shiny new wheels as they were cheeper than having the old pepper pots refurbished, it's just now down to what treads to go for as well as what size! The Fourtrak is not lifted at all, just standard, and the wheels are Anjou 7x15 I'm just not sure what size to fit!

I am currently tempted with General Grabber All Terrain 2, however these seem to be out of stock everywhere right now though. I'm also trying to find out if these will fit as 31x10.5x15's, anyone have any ideas?

The truck isn't used off road, will just be on road through the snow and slush that we have seen the past few winters!

So, I pass myself over to the knowledge that you guys have to give me a few ideas, just let me know what you think smile

In all seriousness, look up the Michelin latitude cross. Seems like it could handle a bit of snow?

General Grabber AT2 is a fantastic tyre and carries the mountain and snowflake on the sidewall, works very well in snow and is OK'ish in the mud, also the BFGoodrich AT KO has the same markings but more expensive. I prefer the AT2 for wet grip.

We would fit 30x9.50R15 to the Fourtrak as it's closest to the standard fitment of 255/70x15, I think if you are not off roading you could maybe get away with 31x10.50R15 so long as your suspension has not sagged to much.

If you hunt you should find the AT2.

I've got General Grabber 30x10.5 R15's on mine and it's fine. Fill the arches very nicely and looks much better than standard.
