Thought I would pop up a few photo's of my 110 which I will be driving in the "Rallye de Cimes" the weekend after next with Matthew Cooper (Sonic) as my navigator, was a bit of a squeeze getting all 6 foot 5 inches of him in the car but he fits so both of us are well happy and can't wait for the start.

It was 20 years ago I last did the "Cimes" also in a Defender 90, we won't be winning, but will for sure be going to dazzle the opposition. It goes very well and should hold our own in class, but most important thing is to finish with the car and both of us in one piece.

Before the mods.

After the mods.

Having had a look at what you are doing and where it is taking place, have fun and finish, last place would be an admirable finish, let alone best in class.
From the official website pictures and booklets, your worst hazard seems to be sheep !
Your 110 looks good, but where is your PH sticker.

Do the regs not allow winches or won't you need one? I noticed you took the snorkel off, is that something else you won't need. Looks like a lot of fun and the food should be goodsmile

Hope not to ever need a winch on these events and all that weight out front would not help at all.

Snorkel will be fitted back on in the morning, not that we go through any very deep water but it's better to have cleaner air.

You can follow Rallye de Cimes here http://www.asac-bascobearnais.asso.fr/pageLibre000... or though nothing will be working proper till towards the end of next week.

Looking forward to this one and if all goes well we have two more to do, one in October and the other in November.

I don't think you've made it quite bright enough. People might not notice it.

The places where there's something to hook a winch to, you don't need one, the one place you might, if you're unlucky, there's nowhere to hook one to biggrin

Similar, but generally with some smoother sections and the odd bit of tarmac road, and higher speeds. And multiple stages, so much more fun.
De Cimes is probably the roughest one the do over there though.

Robin seems to be doing pretty well over there too at the minute.
