Grand Cherokee auto box service ?

I've got a leak on the bottom pan gasket (2004 auto box)
Although its meant to be maintenance free, Ive read its good to change the oil and the gearbox internal filter, plus get the ECU re flashed at the same time ?
Anyone done this or have any comments ?

Better add its the 2.7 crd with the Mercedes box.

On the WJ it is scheduled at 90k. I had mine done and it didn't make a massive difference but obviously better for the box. Mid Kent Chrysler charged 120 quid or so.

Did mine myself, was easy enough to do if a little messy and did make a difference to mine as I found a broken spring inside.
