The BBC is rporting an accident of an off-roader on the South Downs. Not many details but does show why one should go out in convoy http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-225083...

I've always been a bit concerned about what would happen if my Defender rolled. Just glad that they survived, and hopefully make a full recovery.

It might be worth looking at something I use, http://www.globaltelesat.co.uk/satphone/Delorme-in...

Although it won't help if the roof is staved in on you it does give you a bit more help if you're out in the wild outside mobile coverage and need help.

I am a landscape photographer and go to some pretty remote places and have one of these clipped to my camera bag.
