Does anyone know of a proper Bowler--type company that has produced either a proper Dakar-eating Wrangler or one that could equal/beat the BMW X5 Le Mans sub-8min nuburgring (yes I know the X5 is thought by some to be a bit of a Chelsea Tractor) on road.

It would be nice to have something so capable off but know it can do it on road too... with a few tweaks

IMHO a Wrangler is a bit short in the wheelbase for high speed tarmac twisty stuff. If you want a Bowler there are a few Tomcats for sale which with the correct suspension setup and tyres would be more than capable and limited primarily by top speed. John Cockburn raced an 88" Tomcat in the Mull Rally some years back.

There are many Wranglers running SRT8 gear hear in the Middle East. No idea why you'd want to mind!
