TJ 4.0 Wrangler for towing duties?

Apparently it can tow up to 2000kg, and we would have a trailer at a combined weight of 1400kg. Would the Wrangler be ok for occasional towing?
Also, we are considering an LPG conversion if we can go down this route, does LPG alter the towing capacity?
Cheers!
I don't know what they are rated at in the UK. In the US Wranglers and especially the YJ/TJ have truly pathetic tow ratings. 2000lbs or under iirc. I think this is largely propaganda, so as not to "steal" sales from the Dakota and Ram 1500 trucks, which are Chrysler's "tow" vehicle range. Also, we are considering an LPG conversion if we can go down this route, does LPG alter the towing capacity?
Cheers!
If the UK Wrangler has a sufficient tow rating, then it'll be fine.
