Hoping to pick up an x -trail shortly but the 225/55/18 tyres are at about 3-4mm of tread left.

So im looking for advice on tyres, i will be mainly on road for 80% and on lanes and fields for the rest of the time.

So do AT work in snow aswell ?

Ive been looking at the yokohama geolander G012 which come in the right size and seem to get good reviews, but im open to all advice and to see if i need a seperate winter tyre or not.

Mine has done well on Pirelli Scorpion ATRs. Quiet on roads and OK on muddy tracks. Not had too much experience on snow ...

We have these on our Patriot and have found them fine, very good in the snow too smile

Changed our to the Pirelli this time and they have been great in the snow. Quieter than the original Goodyears.

Most AT's are fine in the snow. Although it'll depend how often you think this is likely.

As for the off roading, AT's are ok in the right conditions. But if it's muddy/slippery then sometimes they'll be pretty useless. So it's a compromise on how aggressive a tyre you want to go.

Go with the GO12, great tyre that will suit your needs.

Have fitted many of these in this size.

I dont want too aggressive tyres as its mainly roads during the week and weekend down farm tracks and fields etc. Looks like the geolanders as ive signed the deal for the car today.

Not many cars in 225/55/18 but i think i will go with The geolanders which will probably be the best all round for the driving i do.
