Gonna have a wander out in Wales one night next week. There are some great lanes west of Mold and south of Caerwys. Probably go for a 10 pm start. Anyone interested?

I'm local (username!) but early starts mean nocturnal activities are out I'm afraid.
Where did you find the lanes? Just look on an OS map? Got any links?

Watch out for the mad farmer by the big mast over by Afon-wen if you go up that way, less than friendly!

Haven't been for 5 or so years, hopefully the sour old git is pushing weeds but he lives at the farm come scrap heap in the centre of the map here

Just on the OS map. We were wandering around for a good few hours last time, you can pretty much get up Moel Famau!

Having inspected the publicly available Flintshire public rights of way map I can see no byways open to all traffic nearr Moel Famau or in the areas you mention.

not knowing the area I could be mistaken so it would be worth you having a chat with the area representative for the Green Lane association or the Flintshire rights of way officer.
