Hi
I want to find a place to go off roading with my 7 year old. Nothing wild. I have a new ish Range Rover and dont want to explore its (or my!) limits - but splash through some mud, a stream, crawl over some small rocks etc. Something to make a 7 year old say "WOW!".
Planning on going on Sunday - would really appreciate any tips.
Thanks

Location?
I'm in Northants and used a couple of sites Peterborough way.
In a Full Fat too when I had one.

Thanks - Northants would be doable - any more specific on location?

Tixover is the best
Tixover Quarry
The site is accessed from the A47 near Duddington, 3 miles from Stamford.

There are harder tracks!

This is also exactlyu what I am looking for. Just need to sort my tyres out and maybe some suspension that actually has some travel wink

Didn't get to Tixover but have found the quarry properly on the map. Can I just drive in? I guess it's private land?

Did find a short BOAT and plug some mud which got the required WOW!

Keen to get to Tixover next.

Tixover is indeed very good and I highly recommend it for a fun, challenging yet non-damaging (very little to hit if it goes wrong) day out. Here's a few from last time I was there, on some of the lumpier stuff:
