So what shall I have a crack at next.
http://www.heroeslegend.com/page-en.htmlWhat class are you running in with those Can-Ams? I thought the Tuareg didn't have a quad class, would the Can-Ams be eligible for the quad class in other Rallies anyway?
I've been kicking the idea of a Meca-Systems Raptor around for a while now but I'm very taken with the Can-Ams
The Can-Am Commander 1000XT is not a quad it's a side by side, so we entered in the car class. It's fully road legal and quite light, more "sports type" side by side's are coming on the market with Arctic Cat producing the "Wildcat" which is a nice bit of kit if you are not too tall, also Yamahe are rumoured to be bringing out a sports 1000 version of the Rhino which looks good (google serch).
These lightweight side by side vehicles are great fun and built for off roading and don't cost as much as a full blown off road race car. My Can-Am is used for logging when needed, the odd trial with the AWDC and green laneing, my son nickes it for shopping as well when not raining.
It was a great way to enter the Tuareg and get the buzz of an endurance desert event, we have lern't a lot and would do it with a navigator and service crew next time, trying to do everything is quite hard for an old boy.
