Green lanes in Surrey - gpx files
Discussion
Hi guys
I'm trying to track down some gpx files of greenlanes around Surrey.
Iv got an application on my phone called view ranger which I'm hoping to put to good use. On previous outings iv followed people who know where they are going but i would like to venture out and explore by myself without straying off route.
Any help is much appreciated!

We used OS maps/ipad app to try and keep all our adventures legal only to get told off by Kent Police
A quick google of the two lanes they'd pulled us up for using (via letter, a month after we'd been down them) and there were links to show changes to footpath/bridleway made years ago (2009 ish on one of them) and the OS stuff was waaay out of date
Since then a fellow 4x4-er has said to bugger that, go to the council and ask to see their maps and mark up on your own what you can drive down so you know you're always in the right - theirs will always be the most accurate records

Please contact the nearest Green Lane Association rep to where you wish to lane, failing that use trailwise or speak to the Council rights of way officer; much of this data regarding rights of way status is now available on council websites.
It makes sense for folks interested in laning to join GLASS as the more members the association has the more leverage when fighting legislation which reduces our right to access unsurfaced roads.
