After the success of the last run out onto the Plain, I thought I'd see if there's any interest in another go?
I'm back in the UK for 1 week only this time, so it will have to be Sunday Feb 26th

Running a stock Grand Cherokee WJ with a good set of ATs, so it won't be too technical, hopefully PHer Jason will be available to lead again since his knowledge of the plain made the last trip so enjoyable.

Bare in mind there is a large excercise on the whole of SPTA for this month into next. 24/7. Call the number on the link below at Westdown for updates wink

Landmarc and MOD wardens are also getting a lot more active over the past few months during excercises and monitoring 'off piste' activities.

Never seen your truck clean..... she scrubs up rather well.

Love the description by the way, hope that you don't sell her until after we get to have another play.... though perhaps we'll steer clear of the bomb hole this time lol

Very, very interested, depending on what SWMBO has arranged for that weekend. Where would you expect to start, and at what sort of time?

And should I expect to get stuck, as my D2 is standard apart from the AT2s.

Probably somewhere on the road from Devizes to Andover I would guess as there's a number of convenient access points from there.
Jason is the guru of all things Plain, so I'll defer to him but will send out phone numbers nearer the time.

Disco 2 shouldn't be getting stuck if you have ATs, last run out no-one guy stuck and ATs was all that myself and BFG had on a Jeep GC and a Terrano respectively.

Cool. Just read the last thread and looking forward to it already biggrin I think I can do the Sunday but I'm most of two hours away so won't be up for too early a start. And i suspect part of the deal will mean bringing a 4 year old who's mad keen on mud biggrin

No issues, we met last time at about 10:30 which worked well, no issues with the kids either.... playing in the mud's definately better than being stuck in front of the TV etc!!

He's in Essex - as good as Salisbury is, it's probably not worth a 130 mile road trip in a 4x4 just to get to the mud then 130 miles home!!
