Spent 2 years restoring this one in Yemen

Body work was A1 by the time the work was done, converted it to 5sp, power steering and disk brakes. Engine reconditioned

All that needed doing was the engine plumbed in, the wiring connected, windows and seats fitting

Alot of the basic parts are still availible new there, also a plentiful supply a used parts. Fancy bits were brought in from the US or Oz by rotators

Due to export restrictions car is still in Yem' unloved for 18 months now - still hope to resolve these issues and get it to the UK one day

Total cost incl initial purchase worked out at around $12k which at the time at £7k ish

In the mean time...

Heres a mates FJ, in Oz - I had the Surf behind. Worst decision I made on that trip was choosing to buy the Surf over an FJ!

I stupidy sold my BJ 40 and an unrestored FJ40 a few years ago also had a HJ75 pick up at one point I believe there are a few bj40s still about in southern ireland ...
