Am back in the UK for a few days and fancy getting the Jeep a little muddy and breaking in the ATs that I fitted last year!

Any takers for a trip?

The car's a totally standard WJ running ATs and I'm a novice at best off-road, so nothing taxing needed.

When's good with you fellas then?
I'm free until after the weekend with the exception of Saturday 11 - 3

As I say, car's totally standard barring a set of ATs, I'm equipped with both GPS and OS Landranger and a willingness to get muddy!!

Start time is up to you guys, I'm in Andover, only 10 miles from the training area so I don't mind. Location wise, where are you guys comming from ?? Easiest Entry point is Tidworth (Mil Crossing DD) on the eastern training area if your comming from London or the South... Or Devises if comming from the West or North.

Kettle always on at our house, and we're only 100meters from fuel if you want to aim for SP10 3NL though

I'll be coming through Devizes, so meeting at an entry point onto the Plain sounds like a plan rather than coming to Andover then doubling back?
I'm on 07970 143920, drop me a message or give me a call with your address and we'll work it from there.

Ok, Devises is good, that way we can Jump onto the Larkhill and Westdown ranges just off the A342 near Urchfont, then either go over through Imber or down to Chittern or a loop across all 3

Sounds good to me, shall we meet just off the Durrington roundabout heading towards Larkhill at 10:00? or would later suit you better?

If your heading to the Durrington Roundabout, just before there is a Military road crossing "C - Charlie Crossing".

There is plenty of room to park / turn etc, plus its right on the training area. If I get there for 10 am tomorrow, CB -ch19, Black Jimny with rooflights.

I also have a mate who will be riding shotgun to grab photo's etc.

No probs, will find it... have OS 184 in the car, just dug out the rig and twig and fitted them, so I think once I have a flask of tea we'll be good to go lol.... see you tomorrow.

Cracking morning's entertainment there chaps, Jason's knowledge of the plain and advice on routes to take made for a really stress free trip....

Was very wet and muddy but I think we all came away amazed at the capabilities of a couple of bog standard 4x4 vehicles with All Terrains on....

Back for more in February!!

Parked up for tea and sausage sarnies!

Really capable vehicle this little Jimny, dealt with <almost> everything we could throw at it.... Jason will tell the story of the <almost> later on I'm sure!

Main photos were done from the Jimny, not seen them yet... I only took a few when we stopped.

And another for luck!
