Hi guys I have recently picked up a set of Insa Turbo Special Tracks for my D90. I have had a good look on the side wall, but can't see any notification on them of running direction. Looking at the picture below, the lugs are "curved" a little, so, which way would be best to run the curves?

Also, what the hell does one do with the spare? Set it up for nearside, since when off roading I can't see that side, so there is an increased liklihood of damage? Will it make a significant difference if I have to run it on the wrong side to "get me home"??

Yes they are directional. There is a rotation arrow on the side wall which is a bit of a clue hehe

When I got mine supplier suggested near side as they tend to puncture more. Cant remember why.

No it wont make much difference to get you home. I went for KL71's which are also directional mud tyres and I've ended up buying a second spare wheel and 2 spare tyres, but that's also because the size I use 30 9.5 15 is quite hard to get hold of. I don't carry both spares with me, I'd just get it home then swap them. If mine weren't so hard to get a hold of I'd settle for one spare.
