Toyota FJ Cruiser or Jeep Wranger?

I am considering changing my Toyota Landcruiser. WOuld love a Defender, but there are not many for sale over here. So looking at an FJ Cruiser or a Wrangler.







What would you go for?

FJ all the way its not the nicest looking but its a much better vehicle, drove one in oz and was quite impressed.

not enough to take me from the green and gold though

Personally I think the Jeep is the better, but that really is a personal choice they are both good. The FJ is basically a 'Prado' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Land_Cruiser_P...

Will take some pennies to get either looking like these pics.


Personally I think it has to come down to what you want to use it for. The FJ looks great, a real attention getter and is't the better SUV. As in better on the road, long distance, more comfy, probably faster.

But it's not as good off road, it's bulkier, has IFS and just not going to be as nimble.

The Jeep also holds a few trump cards by the way of having a removable roof, doors and a fold down windscreen.


I doubt you'd be disappointed by either.

Keeping my Prado, but my other car ( a Honda CRV) is pissing me off so it is going. Looking at a nice Wrangler TJ tomorrow but would still love a Defender, shame none for sale round here.

Having now driven a few Jeep Wrangers (albeit with high suspension lifts and massive tyres - a bit like in the photo) I can safely say I will NOT be buying one - they are completely unstable and probably dangerous on the road. Also being short they are not capable of pulling my boat.
