Anyone reccomend a Jeep Specialist in or near Essex

Bought an old 2001, 4.7 Grand Cherokee limited and sadly the aircon and cruise control dont work.

Otherwise really pleased with the old girl!

both the dash lights come on.

but no cold air. and cruise wont activate.

Aircon could just be a regas - apparently KwikFit do a no-fix no-fee service...

I bought one of those last year - its a cheap bus and the Mrs has a fool card so why not!

CC failure think is a known prob - jeepforum.com is really usefull for stuff like that - I havent had the problem. For AC you can by regas kits on the bay.

Only probs with ours have been indicators (dodgy flasher unit) and brake calipers.

Rear diff is a bit moany at the mo but hoping an oil chaneg will sort that.

For work you could try London Jeep in Brimsdown - they normally have a couple of breakers in and seem to know their stuff.

I've used London Jeep. No doubt they know their stuff and they did what I asked, when I asked at the price they said they would charge.

But they took no time or interest in looking at the rest of the car to point out other bits that weren't right or might soon need attention and what they would charge to fix it. It seemed to me if I wasn't already an expert on my car and jeeps in general, they weren't that fussed about helping with any further knowledge on either or even getting more of my business eg. Common faults, fixes, the overall condition of my car and what else it needed.

I was practically begging them to take more money off me, even asking if they could source and fit parts for me. They said "Oh just get those off eBay."

I'd give them 6.5/10.
