Replacement for Mazda CX7
Discussion
I know some may say the CX7 isn't a 4x4 but I thought this was the best place to put this...
Currently running a 2007 CX7 (the 2.3 turbo model).
It's a great car but looking to perhaps replace it for something a little better on fuel - currently getting 24mpg average(25mpg on a run.)
Requirements are:
-similar value to CX7 so say 10-12k tops
-say 30mpg+ would be nice
-nice enough place to sit (I do approx 20k a year)
-isofix if possible for the little one (soon to be plural!)
-capable of towing my westfield + trailer (only just over 1000kg so not really cause for concern)
-Not huge miles as I'll be sticking on a fair amount myself!
-Only need reasonable offroad ability, (ie for towing across wet grass (often up hill at hillclimbs/sprints) and also re winter as we live in the back and beyond of Aberdeenshire (fairly high up)where snow is an issue and I need to be able to get about farm roads etc. CX7 with Grabber tyres has never let me down to give an idea of the ability I'm after.
Is there anything out there that fits the bill?
I like to drive something a bit 'different' or a bit 'cool' but struggling to think of anything to better the CX7.
The wife quite likes Shoguns but I've not had any experience of them.
Cheers,
Dave
