Eh up,

I bought a Jeep on Saturday, well to be precise, I bought back my old Jeep!

Since I first sold her, the next owner has done a load of mods:

3 Inch body lift
4 Inch suspension lift
Front / rear Tru Tracs
Stainless exhaust complete
35 inch wheels
Extended wheel arches
Big bumpers, winch

Usual off road fayre.

So which insurance company is my best bet, as I think it best to declare all these modifications.

Who do you use?

Thanks guys.

Only heard good things about Adrian Flux for modified vehicles, its who my Dad uses for the Land Rover as well.

I also use Adrian Flux for my lifted Jeep. They're very open to modifications and the price is reasonable.

Aothr viote for AF but you should also try Lancaster, I insured a modified series 3 Landie with them for a very good price.

These. The one I got this years' policy with was called '2gether'. They are a broker using the same insurance companies. Were significantly cheaper than flux Wierdly.

I know it's partly perspective, but it dwarfs that Caravelle biggrin Ace.

hehe It's not perspective - it does dwarf the Caravelle...

Thanks for your help chaps, will get on the phone tomorrow and get some quotes in. Hope it's not too hideous!

thats a lovely truck!

I've just gone to adrian flux for my jimny. It was only a little cheaper than my renewal but crucially its with all mods and provides cover off road regardless of if its a club event or not. Well worth it for the peace of mind imho. Make sure you tell them you're in club though - even on here counts - and you should get discount for it.

£380 with Adrian Flux, declaring all the mods, for fully comp with protected no claims.

Thought that was quite good.

thats a good price, did you tell them about being in a club? iirc its worth about 15% discount.

Yeah, he actually asked me if I was in a club and I said yes - he didn't even ask which one...

I did join the 'Birty Dastards' Jeep club forum last week though, so it's not untrue!

Graham Sykes

For my disco, with everything declared (hugely far from standard) £153, fully comp, with the missus on the policy.
Sure, but you have to take into consideration a Disco is only ever worth a tenner!smile

thats what disco owners charge Jeep owners when they pull them out isn't it?
You'll have to come and show us that scenario, haven't come across it yet personally!

can't do that, they never have enough torque to pull through mud those yankee softroaders, that's why you always seem to have to recover 2 at a time
mmm, lack of torque is one thing you couldn't use against my old CJ..
