Passed this hammering up the A331 (at 60mph) this morning, presumably surrey have it due to the amount of heath fires they get.

That was at our place a few weeks ago, doing a bit of liaison work.

I was speaking to one of my neighbours recently and he's a Northants Fireman. They use these for river rescues and the like where other rescue vehicles cannot get. He does off-road training in it at the local quarries.

Very cool, Kent had a similar one based at Faversham years ago.

Always think the electricity board guys who get those are bound to have fun at work too.

East Sussex have one used for forest fires on Ashdown Forest, after they lost a fire engine whe it got stuck on the forest and was burnt out by the fire, and for rescuing animals, usually horses.
