PH Show: Roll Up For Your Gold Tickets

Members-only offer for extra access to PistonHeads: The Performance Car Show in January

It's that time of year again - the gritters are out, and thoughts turn inexorably towards turkey. But winter also means the return of PistonHeads: The Performance Car Show in January.

Running alongside the Autosport International show at the NEC in Birmingham, the PH show is open to the public on 15-16 January 2011. The PH show is your chance to see plenty of performance metal, to buy all sorts of PistonHeads merchandise in person (though you can always buy online from the PH shop), and to come and meet the PH team (worth the ticket price alone).

Oh, and you can also see some of the world's best race and rally cars and drivers on the Autosport side of things...

As if that isn't good enough, this year, we've donned our Willy Wonka costumes to offer Golden Tickets for the show to PH members.

With a Gold Ticket, you'll be able to get access to the PH and Autosport shows on Friday 14 January, the quieter trade-only day before the rest of the showgoing public turns up on the Saturday and Sunday.

As well as PistonHeads: The Performance Car Show, and Autosport International, the Gold Ticket also gets you access to Autosport Engineering, the two-day trade show that features the latest innovations in automotive and race technology, with a host of brake, gearbox, suspension, wheel and engine specialists (one for fans of the oily bits of cars, that).

Public access to the show on Friday 14 January 2011 is only available with a Gold Ticket, which is being offered exclusively to PistonHeads members. Gold Tickets are £40: to get yours call +44 (0)844 581 1419.

Of course, if you don't fancy a fancy ticket (as it were), Saturday and Sunday tickets for the show are available for £30 - but then you'll have to cope with the crowds, and you don't want to have to do that, do you?

You can see more detailed info on the PH show ticket prices below, and you can find out more or book tickets on the PH show site.

Can't you do a competition to win some?

I won 2 tickets on XFM this morning so I am feeling lucky!

There are no paddock passes on trade days, gold tickets mean PH members can come on a trade day without any other public visitors there.

Alternatively if the weekend suits your diary better, as a PH member you can get front row seats in the Fifth Gear Live Action Arena by quoting: PHR1 - when calling 0844 581 1419.

On the phone and they are saying i can't book for the Friday......directed me to Haymarket.....who directed me to PH team.......who put me through to publishing......who put me thorugh to the wrong number......who then put me through to James Bissett who confirmed a new email would be coming out this afternoon with a code that will trigger the magic gold ticker. He was kind enough to provide me with the code and I've just bought mine, so it now works......yeah!

I don't think that the live shows are usually on the trade days - everyone there is presumably supposed to be working not having a jolly. What I want to know is whether the lycra lovelies are there for the trade day - main reason I go!

There usually is a live show on the Friday, but only one or two time slots - I assume that this year will be the same? Lycra : yes, but in my experience not as many (some of the girls actually get to wear sensible attire on the serious days, others just not in evidence due to the reduced focus on punting stuff to the general public).

The code is ASG4 - this allows you to come on the trade days. If you would prefer to come at the weekend you can quote PHR1 to get front row seats in the Fifth Gear Live Action Arena.

To answer the query about the live show on Thurs and Fri - there is no Fifth Gear element on the trade days, it will be replaced with various types of racing.

Are the Gold tickets for the Friday limited, and if so, approximately how many are left?

Tickets are still available. Got mine this afternoon.
Use the number on the article. The button monkey at the end of the phone will deny that tickets are available. Give them the code and job done. £2 booking fee to pay too.
Didn't fancy taking the email risk so will see if the Royal Mail can excell themselves.
If you don't use the code then you are Pcensoreding in the wind.
I have had a merry time speaking to numerous departments in and around the NEC learning that one.
If only I had read the comments first.....smash
