Right then anybody on here know of a cheap way to get your car to the PH show? January is not exactly the best time of year to be driving exotics on the salted roads so I'm wondering how some of you guys plan on doing it? I was wondering about the possibilities of a group of us chipping in for a car transporter (preferably enclosed) to get the cars there and back? Any ideas?

Well the other option im thinking of is putting a tow hook on the back of the van and taking the beast up there myself, at least that would save me having to get on horrid public transport for the journey home + Im sure a few PHs Would jump at the chance for a cheaper lift back down to London SE wink Could sit a few in the back too biggrin

there are a few companies out that hire out trailors, Carl got a brand new Brian James for £50 (weekend hire)

Youll have to check your van weight to keep it all legal, viper and trailor is going to be heavy

I have to say I was just planning on driving mine up there from London and then taking the train back. If memory serves correctly, the cars get valeted thoroughly upon arrival, before being put on display.

Nor mine! Cars have to look decently used.

As said above there is a valeting company on site to suitably fettle our steeds.

But how about a group run up on the Tues or weds ??

Anyone up for a convoy ?

Yep, true, but having no sort of rust protection on the chassis apart from factory paint I didn't fancy driving it on our salted roads then not being able to clean it off for a week! frown Remember we are talking about January wink

I was lucky enough to be invited but 60s old Henry metal and salty roads don't mix , maybe one day when I have access to an enclosed trailer , would have loved to had it there but just not workable this time , I will still come to the show to ogle at all the cars...and the girls lick
