Melling Wildcat at it's first public show
Discussion
Here are a couple of photos of the Wildcat, braving the cold and venturing out to it's first public showing.
Hi to everyone we met on the stand. It was hard going over the four days but good fun. There were some good comments from all sorts of enthusiasts. If anyone has any more photos of the car, please add them on.
Looking forward to the visit from cheshire CC and west yorks!

I like the bulging rear wings to accommodate the bigger track - it's well integrated and looks like a natural development of the Griff shape - sort of a 427 Cobra versus the classic 289. Which is the nicer - the 'purer' original or the more testosterone fuelled later evolution - is a matter of perspective, but both have their merits.
The center console treatment is indeed spectacular - although LA is IMO right that it either needs to extend to incorporate the gear lever, or have some kind of elelment that visually 'terminates' it at the bottom - but the main instrument stack looks very amateur/kit car-ish to me. Agree, again, with LA's comments about the exposed headlights and the grille, and TBH the bonnet scoop still very much looks at odds with the curvaceousness of the rest.

Yeah, It's been in production since August when it appeared in Autocar. Three have been delivered to customers already.
The interior can be specified with aluminium or even carbon fibre trim instead of the wood if you wish. You can also have the wood in other types and colours. The feedback from the show on the interior was amazing. The concept of the design is to do a lot with a little, keeping costs down and reliability solid.

I came and talked to you chaps about the Wildcat at the show - looks right up my street! Looking forward to a test drive when the London dealers get sorted out...
How you doing? We're talking to a few dealers south of Watford Gap but for the time being all cars are being sold from the Factory in Rochdale. Give the factory a call or drop a message from the website and we might be able to arrange something in bringing a car to you...Green Montego said:

Will do - am just wrapping up buying a new place - once I've done that (and hence got the missus off my back!) I'll give you a buzz. Definitely getting the itch for a new toy. Sofas and kitchens just don't do it for me .Gassing Station | The Performance Car Show: powered by PistonHeads.com | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
